So recently I claimed that a certain new episode was even better than Magical Mystery Cure.
But now I'm watching Magical Mystery Cure and A True, True Friend is on, and I'm singing along with tears in my eyes.
I was wrong.
Magical Mystery Cure, you are indeed best episode! I'm sorry for ever doubting you!
EDIT, BREAKING NEWS: M.A. Larson (writer of Magical Mystery Cure) pretty much confirms everything I'm saying about the episode in this blog.
Complete with such gems as:
"The climax happens in the middle."
"It doesn't make sense structurally."
"That's my problem with what aired, she didn't really earn the wings."

There were some very interesting points Larson made in this video, especially about how the story editors are the ones who ultimately made the changes to the episodes. Also there may potentially be a 'Pandora's Box' type of episode coming later in the future, which does sound like an intriguing idea for a story. Looking forward to that.
Hello all. I…
No, no, this isn’t right. Not for this one. I'm going to need to stretch my multimedia capabilities to their absolute limit. Hang on a moment…
I think Rarity is controlling the weather in the Tri Cities right now. We keep driving into and out of isolated rain showers.
Here's a bit of a thing about any derivative work, be it an actual full-blown story, video, or artwork, or just an idea or theory: it heavily relies on the original work having actually existed. For a big example, if you haven't seen it yet, look at the Darth Jar Jar Binks theory. The theory blew up just because it tickles our imaginations so, with a lot of evidence that actually gives credence to the theory. But it relied on the Star Wars
This is something I wrote at a comment for the Mysterious Mr Enter's review of Magical Mystery Cure. I have not changed it because I had so much raw emotion I got out that I Want it to be read as intended, I just needed to get this off my chest.
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic was constantly in the process of reinventing itself. It started out as a "Rated E for Everyone" show that had trouble getting the word "egghead" past the censors, and ultimately evolved into the kind of program where massive battle scenes felt totally in place and appropriate.
It's wild - this journey - this evolution.
What's this? A blog post? Couldn't be, not from me.
Anyway, to justify this out-of-character move a little more, I had a few words to say on Alicorn Ascentionism (and the Plotholes therein), and a few comments I wanted to respond to in a more substantial way, so hey, here we are! Let's get to it.
Finale spoilers.
Since MLP's 200th ep is tomorrow, I may as well make my review on it my 200th blog post... so for #199, let's me list for you my top three most hated MLP eps, and I'll tell you why.
#3: MARKS FOR EFFORTS:
Celestia's Talk With Alicorn Twilight
So now you are an Alicorn
Oh happy day! Congrats!
You used to be a unicorn
But now you're so much more than that
Yes, though these new wings, so big and grand
Are clumsy, confusing, and uncoordinated
One day you'll take off, soar, glide, and land
In mind, every flight equation you have formulated
TWILIGHT: "Yes! Finally, I'm a Princess!"
SPIKE: "...Where's the punchline, Twilight? We're all waiting."
TWILIGHT: "Punchline? I'm a Princess now, Spike. I can't go around tossing out quips and jokey asides."
SPIKE: "But... just last episode you were all snarky and remarking for characters of the day to not come back! What happened?!?"
